We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. Hebrews 6:19-20 (NIV)
I love the Word of God!!! What power to hold onto as we enter a new year!
To know that in placing our faith in Jesus Christ, HE will go before us! We are not alone–what HOPE!!!
As I begin another year, my passion is to create works of art that will encourage and elevate hearts to be filled with the hope and joy of the Lord.
Recently, this design came across my mind. I already had a board painted with left over colors from another project.
I worked on the design and after adding a few more layers of color to fit the vision, I sketched it out on the board.
I’m always in prayer as I paint. I had to smile as I worked on the anchor and script, “my anchor holds,” because the anchor itself represents the letters, “J” “C”. How perfect! My anchor holds because it is Jesus Christ…He is steadfast and sure! Not my power to conjure up hope, but holding onto HOPE…holding onto JC! God is in the details!!! 🙂
May you hold to HOPE every day this year!
Hold to the hope giver (our ANCHOR).
I would have lost heart (hope), unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.
Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord! Psalm 27:13-14
