Do you ever start a project not sure of exactly what you have in mind?
An idea stirring, a painting/project jumping to get out, but no plan on how to make it a reality?
Well, that was me on this one. I had the thought of “Love Lives Here” and wanted to paint something with that message. However, no clear vision (at the moment) when the urge to create was in sync with my energy level to get it done! 🙂
So, I grabbed my sketch pad and started to doodle and a simple (childlike) design of a little house came to my mind. It fit the expression and I thought it would be sweet in any room in my house or to brighten another home.
I used acrylic paint on an old cabinet door (love giving these doors new life!!! ♥), distressed it a little with sandpaper (after it was dry) and then used a wood stain over it all to complete it.
As I kept looking at it, the Lord spoke to my heart that the painting was meant for more. Before my home can be a place filled with people that love each other, our hearts have to first be a place filled with His love….only then love overflows up and out to all. ♥
“Because they are united in love, I work so that they may be encouraged by all the riches that come from a complete understanding of Christ.” Colossians 2:2
Here’s to your day being filled with inspiration to get you going and overflowing with God’s love–XO!
