A Fall Front Porch Boost

20131006_150006_resized_2As the cool air of fall approached, I decided to give my front porch a little boost of autumn tones to bring in the season! I love all things metal and I was thrilled to score this old bundt pan at a yardsale for pennies! Also, I grabbed a few other metal pieces that were around our home….a “Bless This House” sign (it actually stays outside all year long) and a lantern (I am sure that was a yardsale find as well).

I gathered some goto items in the basement that consisted of satin fall leaves, berry vine, a silk flower arrangement in a pot, and some faux pumpkins. My husband brought some real pumpkins home so I added those to the mix.

I moved the items around on a table I had on the porch until it looked put together. It does help to arrange three similar items together (the metal pieces) and then add to it until everything is filled in.

It only took a few minutes to arrange, but it gives visitors a special welcome. Plus, I can enjoy the beauty of it as I come and go…and have a heart of gratitude for the Thanksgiving season!
