Christmas on the Porch
I got my porch decorated for Christmas a couple weeks ago. I love using items I already have around the house and add a more festive flare to them with Christmas decor items I picked up on discount, at second hand shops or yard sales.
I used an old sled to host my manger scene. My husband had cut up a pallet for me so I used a couple of the boards to make shelves on the backside of the sled (if you look closely, you can see the shelves poking out the side). 🙂
“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
Luke 2:11-14 NIV
…with the Kings that followed the star to find Jesus! 🙂
I had fun with my porch table and added a touch of winter with a snowman painted by a local artist (D. Smith Coleman), a little greenery, lanterns (love lanterns!!!), and snow glitter all against my barn door I painted last year.
The “Let It Snow” tree was an early Christmas gift from a friend – “SNOW” love it!
I used an old jar (from my wedding) and added a tree decoration, snow glitter and ribbon and it’s winter charm in a jar!
Love this little truck that was left in the basement of our house we bought. It is perfect for tree transporting. 🙂
Sending Merry Christmas blessings to all of you! May the Prince of Peace be your comfort and guide always!
Love and joy,
Michelle ♥
