Mercy, Music and Market Days
MERCY
As March makes it way to April, we are enjoying Spring and remembering all we have to be grateful for everyday. We will be enjoying time with some family as we celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Last week with friends, we had the opportunity to go see the movie, RISEN (The Biblical history of the Resurrection told through the eyes of an non-believer). It was a powerful reminder of God’s love for each of us and what peace He gives as we seek to know Him and be in His presence.
MUSIC
“Because He Live” is one of my favorite hymns (click to hear it). Although, ‘carrying a tune’ is not a gift of mine, I love to sing and I sing everyday. Anytime the Lord places a song on my heart and mind, I sing it back to Him. I’m glad He doesn’t mind if it is in the right key-note-tune. He just wants to give me His joy and bless me.
How about you? In what way does the Lord minister to your spirit? Yes, art definitely reminds me on how the Lord can transform our lives into something new and fresh. In return, I get the privilege to pass this on to other people to enjoy. However, I see how the Lord uses music to lift my spirit to a level to be able to create. #grateful
I pray you all have wonderful Easter! May you be encouraged as you walk with our Savior.
MARKET DAYS
Behind the scenes of getting ready for the Vintage Lynchburg Spring Market 2016.There was a little bit of paint on this mini stool, so I gave it a quick sanding before painting it.
So excited to try this color! I found it (on sale) at Wal-mart.Ok, looking very cute all painted up!However….let’s make it even cuter!!!Taking a coffee break as I get out the electric sander. Love how sanding adds character to this piece. With an overall coat of stain, this once forgotten stool (that was ‘singing the blues’) is now whistling a new (‘happier’) tune! 🙂
Here’s another fun transformation. I’ll share more about where I found this 12 inch disc in my next post.
Because He lives, Michelle ♥
