Signs of Fall!
Hi! The days are cooling down in Virginia and I am finding inspiration from the beautiful shades of yellow, orange and red emerging from the trees.Although, I love sunshine and sandy beaches, I look forward to this time of year. Cozy sweaters, socks, scarves, and of course, warm treats and coffee always make me smile. I enjoy spending the weekend at home, in my PJ’s, painting in between all the many other things that call for my attention (laundry, dishes, and baking those homemade goodies…).
I’ve been working on pieces for the November 5th Vintage Lynchburg Holiday Sale and thought I would share a few fall ones with you.These all pass the smiling test!!! 🙂If I’m not painting, I’m doodling ideas down on any sheet of paper that is handy and then into the file it goes.Well, it is sort of a file box, but more like a pile. I am definitely a person that has to have items visible and close at hand. So trays, clear bins or even three-ring binders are my best friends. I place rough sketches like the one above in my tray until I can make it a reality. What about you…how do you organize paperwork? Are you a piler or a filer? I play around with original concept until it’s something I would want to display on my walls. This one is starting to take shape and almost ready to be brought to life with a little paint.
We are going to be making the Isaiah 12:4 design (photo at the top) in the (teen & adult) WORKSHOP on October 15th. I hope to see you there…more details on how to sign up are coming soon!
“Give thanks to the Lord,
call upon his name;
make known his deeds among the nations,
proclaim that his name is exalted.” Isaiah 12:4
Happy Fall,
♥ Michelle

All the designs are so pretty, Michelle!! I am sure the Vintage Sale will be great!
I just draw on paper when I need to make some furniture or something that has different measures, but regarding art I’m not capable to draw any sketck… so odd, I know. Anyway, I file everything, I don’t want trays or boxes taking room on my table or shelves.
Enjoy fall!!

Hello Pili and thank you!!! I wish I was able to tuck things away more, but any current projects have to be at arms length (AND VISIBLE) to get done! 🙂
