Chalk Paint Beauty!

CeCe-Paint Shot

Chalk Paint Heaven –
I am having so much fun using CeCe Caldwell’s Chalk Paint that I have to pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming!!! Seriously, I am loving this paint…the texture, the ease, the way it gives new life to the ordinary. Plus, it sticks to just about anything without priming or sanding.

Although, it is a little more expensive than other paints I have used, it is a safer product (eco-friendly) and

I find the savings in being able to finish a project all in one day. Yes, in ONE day!

Discover the Beauty –
While I was unloading my trash at the dumpster, there she was…abandoned and discarded. Standing in the rain and hanging out in a place she did not belong. She was calling out to me to take her. Right away, I knew I had a place for her in my home. I could see her potential as I gently picked her up, wiped the tears off of her and placed her in my jeep. Smiling all the way home as my heart was full of joy on finding such a treasure.

Yes, she was a little worn and nicked from being used. Scratches all over showed time had taken it’s toll on her. Perhaps there was a time she was well loved and the center of display. Whatever the reason, she was no longer needed. Maybe too much for anyone to help her, too much time to invest in to renew her spirit, or maybe they just did not know how to release her beauty. So there she was set aside. A castaway tarnished and forgotten, but still sturdy…she had more to give!

After a good cleansing, I could see she was starting to beam. Grimm and debris no longer had it’s hold on her. She was being refreshed in the sun and ready to receive her new look.

I took a brush to her and began the transformation. Life blossomed with each application. Her dullness gave way to a delicate showcase with such lovely curves of sophistication.

An added pop of color, gave distinction to her many levels.

Giving life to the ordinary and rendering it into something new thrills my soul. It constantly reminds me how God saw me when I did not have the sight to envision such a thought. It’s how He sees all of us when seen through his Son, Jesus Christ. The old is past away (forgotten evermore) and we are transformed (renewed) by His cleansing power.
“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are made new.” II Corinthians 5:17

I am so glad God saw my potential (as He sees all our potential) and He gave me beauty instead of ashes as I allowed him to wipe away my tears. He brought me into His family. He cleansed me with His love when I was alone, brushed away the old ways and all that was exposed, and gently loved me to reveal the beauty he already saw (Identity In Christ).

We are the display of His Splendor…a beautiful vision to behold.
“They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.” Isaiah 61:3 (NIV)

Thank you Lord Jesus that you will never leave us or abandon us! “He won’t abandon you or leave you.” Deuteronomy 3:16 (GW)
