“The Mountains Are Calling And I Must Go…” John MuirFollowing your heart and dreams can be a scary thing. We all have something good we desire to do or be. However, so many “what if’s” can come to mind and keep us stuck in one place (like we are in quicksand….or quick (very quick) drying […]
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, […]
Is it December? We have had beautiful weather in Virginia. I was able to work outside, clean off my porch, and add a few simple touches of Christmas! I’m talking very simple here!!! I added to the mix a green rusty bird feeder and rotors off my jeep. My husband changed the brake pads and […]
My turquoise truck (see it HERE) inspired me to transform these old coasters into Christmas ornaments. By using resources I had on hand, I made these fun rustic ornaments within minutes. Here’s how I did it:
I love anything handmade. Snow globes are a favorite of mine around Christmas time…just something magical about them. They are perfect under a tree, for centerpiece/table displays, and to add a whimsy touch to a child’s room (any room!). Plus, they are soooooooooooo easy to make (with or without water).

One easy and affordable way to do this is to give old items a new twist with paint. Right now, I am working on several projects at […]
I could not resist making another sunshine painting during the rain last week. The possibilities with this sentiment are endless. It’s a great message to add a little love to your space and brighten it up. Soooooooooo expect more sunny paintings to come your way! 🙂 DIY Details HERE:
It’s been raining here in Virginia for days. This inspired me to work on some fun pieces to brighten things up. New this week is, “YOU” are my Sunshine. It makes me smile and reminds me that the Lord is my Sunshine, “For the Lord God is a sun and shield;” (Psalm 84:11). Only His […]
God, who giveth life to the dead, and calleth the things that are not, as though they were. Romans 4:17 (ASV) Hello! I hope you are all doing well this week!? I have been working on cleaning up/out files on my computer and phone…and working on new projects in between laundry, cleaning and cooking. 🙂
My office (Jerry Falwell Museum) has the privilege of changing the wreath on Dr. Jerry Falwell’s grave each month. He was the Founder and Chancellor of Liberty University. Since it is the beginning of a new academic school year…and for Doc being a Godly leader in American history, we went with red, white and blue. With […]
