Hello! I love being a part of local Markets. There is a lot of preparation in getting ready for them. However, it is always so much fun seeing friends and meeting new faces in the community. It’s an opportunity to hear their stories and to be blessed by them sharing what Happy Heart™ means to them.
Here are a few highlights from the Mountain View Vintage Market and The Hill City Handmade Holiday Market. If you see something you like, drop me a line. Feel free to share these captured moments with friends (more event photos on Pinterest).
Mountain View Vintage MarketI wanted to decorate the back of my booth and also create a little photo opportunity for folks. The backdrop is a canvas tarp painted with black and white acrylic paint. Photos by Austin King PhotographyIt was the most gorgeous October day with temps reaching near 80 degrees. We were all so grateful to have this first annual event make its debut in the sunshine with close to 2000 in attendance.I spent the day signing books and hearing how people are using Happy Heart: Fill’er Up! to plant seeds of Faith in the hearts of children; to know the love of Jesus Christ.😊A few signs….the circular signs (below) I made from cut-outs from a puppet set I worked on at my church. Can you locate where they originated? Christmas photo opportunity from MVVMLeft over wood from projects made into gift/ornament tags.A few of the tree ornaments I made from recycled vintage nails and wood scraps (the stand is by Peg, White Brick House).
It was a very chilly day at The Hill City Handmade, but a great time with friends and sharing my art with others.Who doesn’t love a coffee sign!?! One of the most popular items we sell are these coffee signs (below) made from rescued cedar shaker shingles (see the story). “She’s a lady” was the perfect gift for this lovely lady’s 🐞 bug collecting sister!! 😊Nothing compares to the beauty and power of God’s Word. May this reminder from Romans 12:9 encourage you on your journey as it has my heart.Special thanks to Austin King Photography for supplying the Mountain View Vintage Market photos (love his work!).
